Hwy 47 Lumber Co. had a large fire on the rear of the property in a large pile of sawdust and scrap slabs. The fire was brought under control by Claylick Fire after nearly 24 hrs of suppression. The fire was never extinguished, only contained. All structures were protected and unaffected due to the efforts of the Fire Dept. The fire burned for several months afterwards. Thanks to all the other departments that assisted us in the effort.

Rapid Intervention Team and Firefighter survival training. An old house purchased by FF/EMT-IV Cato was converted into a twisted maze for members to experience disorientation and SCBA usage in extreme circumstances. Training conducted in that residence was extremely beneficial. Thank you FF Cato for the use of that house. The house has since been torn down.
