Claylick Fire Department is a 100% all VOLUNTEER organization that strives to meet and exceed the needs of the Claylick community. Claylick Fire has come a long way in recent years and we hope to continue that progressive attitude. Our training is at its highest level ever with several in-house instructors, our equipment is improving such as our brand new 1800 gallon rescue tanker bought with a federal grant, and our members continually strive for excellence through dedication and training. We are proud of our department and hope that the Claylick Community
shares the same pride. April marks the annual Mail-Out donation drive each year which is the largest fundraising event for the department. We mail out more than 3,150 letters each year asking for donations to keep the department running, but only a small percent of the recipients of those letters donate to Claylick Fire Department. We need your help more than ever this year due to the economy and increased run volume. As mentioned earlier, Claylick received a grant for a new fire apparatus, but it is not a 100% grant. Claylick will had to pay more than $18,000 for our part of the grant. That truck was received over a year ago but we still owe several thousand dollars for our match portion. Please help us move forward by contributing. Dickson County government gives the organization 30% of our annual operating budget which exceeds $61,000 annually. With your help we can focus more on training and less on fundraising. We want to thank everyone that supports us and we ask that you continue your generosity.
